Pesticide Residue Analysis

The methods adopted are fully validated and important data on spiked recovery tests is furnished in the reports to reflect accuracy of results. The categories of products routinely tested for Pesticide Residues include Water, Food and Agro products, Soil etc. Residues estimated in water, food, drugs, agro products, soil etc. are:

Testing of packaging materials for their physico-chemical properties, safety and transport worthiness.

Migration Testing of Food Packaging

Today’s food manufacturers have at least two primary goals. The first is producing products that satisfy the ever increasing demand for food taste, quality and Convenience. The second is ensuring these products are Safe. Even the best tasting product will be a disaster if it is contaminated by the very package that is designed to protect it.

Food Packaging should be safe and should not transfer their components into the foodstuff in unacceptable quantities. The transfer of constituents from Food contact materials into Food is called Migration.

Food manufacturers depend on their packaging suppliers to cover the basics like providing outer wraps that look attractive and pop on shelf. In so doing, these suppliers must also meet International Standards like US FDA, EC regulations or National Standards for Food Safety. These International standards exist to prevent harmful components in the package from Migrating to the Food Products.

SPECTRO has experience in interpreting the appropriate legislation and providing test data in accordance with National & International Standards.

SPECTRO provide Migration Testing Services as per US FDA and EC- Regulations 2002/72/EC & its related amendments till 2008/39/EC.
